ORLANDO, FL. – On Thursday, May 8th, an Orlando man was sentenced to 50 years in the Department of Corrections with a 25-year mandatory minimum sentence following a conviction for his involvement in a road rage incident and shooting into an occupied vehicle on East Colonial Drive in January 2024. The individual fired multiple shots at the victim after the victim allegedly cut him off in morning traffic. One of the shots struck the victim in the head, killing him. The individual's actions endangered innocent lives and brought trauma to an entire family.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Today State Attorney Monique Worrell provided an update on the circuit's non-arrest policy and welcomed additional prosecutors being deployed to support her office in clearing a 13,000 non-arrest case backlog. Worrell also continued to advocate for a long-term solution to the backlog of non-arrest cases beyond the temporary support that will be coming from the Florida Statewide Prosecutors office.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The trial for an Orlando man accused of raping several women at bus stops in the Pine Hills area is set to begin today. The defendant will stand trial for multiple counts of Sexual Battery with a Firearm and Kidnapping.

The sentencing date has yet to be determined.
