The mission of the Public Information Office is to provide accurate information to citizens and the media in a timely manner. Dedicated to promoting and supporting various functions within the SAO, the office also provides information on services and initiatives.

ORANGE COUNTY (April 28, 2023) — Today, April 28, 2023, an SAO9 employee was contacted by State Committeewoman Debbie Galvin requesting at least two cases where State Attorney Worrell had failed to prosecute cases to get justice for victims of human trafficking crimes. Ms. Galvin went on to tell the employee that “this is happening all over the country where these prosecutors are not following the law,” and that she was supposed to provide this information to the governor’s office last week, but, needed to have it over to them by Monday, May 1st.
ORANGE COUNTY, FL (March 20, 2023) — After a thorough and lengthy review, the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit has concluded that we cannot move forward with filing charges against Jeremiah Cundiff in connection with the Jones High School shooting that claimed the life of Mr. Gamaine Brown on November 12, 2022. There is simply no reliable evidence that would support a conviction in this case.

Our review of the circumstances in Mr. Jose A. Ruiz’s case shows this resolution was consistent with those values and goals.
ORANGE COUNTY (June 17, 2022) — Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Monique H. Worrell announces a six–person jury in Orange County found Danielle Justice Redlick, 48, not guilty of seconddegree murder in the homicide of Mr. Michael Redlick. Ms. Redlick was found guilty of tampering with evidence. We want to commend our prosecutors who spent the past several weeks prosecuting this matter. They handled this high-pressure case diligently, and with a tremendous amount of integrity and professionalism. We are very fortunate to have them as members of our team and thank them for fighting so rigorously for justice.
ORANGE COUNTY (June 6, 2022) — Ninth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Monique H. Worrell announces a six–person jury in Orange County found Timothy Lee Wilson, 36, guilty of 2 counts of false imprisonment on a child under the age of 13, 3 counts of aggravated child abuse with a weapon, 4 counts of aggravated child abuse, and one count of child neglect.
