State Attorney Monique H. Worrell Announces Osceola County Community Townhall Meeting At The Kissimmee Civic Center
The townhalls will be held on Monday, May 16th at 6:00pm.
OSCEOLA COUNTY, May 11, 2022 — State Attorney Monique H. Worrell and the Ninth Judicial Circuit’s Community Engagement team will host the first of a series of Osceola community townhall meetings on Monday, May 16th at 6:00pm. This community townhall will be held at the Kissimmee Civic Center located at 201 E Dakin Avenue in Kissimmee.
“One of my administration’s top priorities is to bridge the gap between Central Florida residents and the criminal legal system,” said State Attorney Worrell. “Reimagining public safety in the Ninth Judicial Circuit requires innovation and collaborative effort. This goal can best be achieved with input from community members and our community partners.”
The Community Engagement team looks forward to educating communities on the criminal legal system, actively engaging youth and young adults, and empowering victims and witnesses of crime to work with law enforcement. Additionally, the team looks forward to addressing its role in addressing racial inequity in the criminal legal system and increasing transparency in the Ninth Judicial Circuit.
“These townhalls will allow me and my Community Engagement team to connect with residents across Orange and Osceola counties to hear their concerns, answer their questions and solicit their feedback on how our office can better serve them.”
Registration is required for attendance. Residents can register for the May 16th townhall at https://bit.ly/SAO9MayTownhall.
