OPERATION “GOOD CALL”
ORLANDO, FL – The Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit is proud to partner with the Orlando Police Department in “Operation Good Call.” This nine-month investigation was conducted by Orlando Police Department’s Special Enforcement Division’s Overdose Unit, who tracked dealers throughout the community and made arrests on those causing a great deal of harm in our Circuit. As overdose deaths continue to rise at an unprecedented rate, it is more important than ever that we come together as a community to stop the spread of dangerous drugs such as Fentanyl.
State Attorney Monique H. Worrell is committed to working with our law enforcement and community partners to hold dealers responsible, and help people suffering from addiction find treatment. It is because of the quick action and thorough investigations performed by Orlando Police Department’s newly formed overdose units, that we are able to identify and prosecute the people who are selling these dangerous drugs resulting in deaths in our communities. We thank Chief Orlando Rolon for his tremendous leadership, and commend the Orlando Police Department’s steadfast work in “Operation Good Call.” Without their tireless efforts, the prosecution of those seeking to bring harm to our communities would not be possible.
Combating this crisisis a top priority of our office. To that end, we are working on all fronts across the Ninth Judicial Circuit with a team comprised of individuals who are dedicated to tackling fentanyl and prescription drug misuse. We are committed to ending unintentional opioid-related overdoses and look forward to continuing the partnerships that will ensure we maintain safe communities for all.
