National Senior Month
During National Senior Center Month, State Attorney Monique Worrell visited and toured the Osceola Council On Aging Center. She met with seniors to talk about scams and elder exploitation, raising awareness on how to stay safe. With this year’s theme, ‘Powering Possibilities: Flip the Script,’ the focus is on ensuring our seniors live with dignity, security, and independence. By sharing resources and working together, we can help protect seniors and keep our community strong.

Back to School Fairs
The State Attorney’s Office was proud to participate in back-to-school events across Orange County this past week! We handed out school supplies, shared valuable resources, and spoke with parents about the importance of gun safety. Free gun locks and safe storage tips were provided to help keep our children and homes secure.
A big thank-you to our community partners and elected officials for including us in these meaningful events that put families first and help students start the year with confidence!
Your Future Your Choice Internship Program
State Attorney Worrell, attorneys from the Special Units, current law students, and interns at the State Attorney’s Office came together to present to the Your Future, Your Choice interns. They shared valuable insights about the pursuit of justice, their experiences in law school, and tips for preparing for the LSAT. It was an inspiring session for future legal leaders!

They toured the facility, met with law enforcement professionals, and gained valuable insight into how police and prosecutors work together to serve our community. From forensics to investigations, it was a behind-the-scenes look at the front lines of public safety.
Your Future Your Choice Internship Program
As part of the Your Future, Your Choice Internship Program, our interns visited the Public Defender’s Office to learn more about defense attorneys’ vital role in the justice system. They engaged in thoughtful conversations about the importance of due process, legal advocacy, and ensuring every individual receives a fair trial. This visit helped our interns better understand the full scope of the criminal justice process from both sides of the courtroom.
Elevation Scholars Program
State Attorney Monique H. Worrell and Public Defender Melissa Vickers, along with their teams of Executive Assistant State Attorneys and other legal professionals, met with students from the Elevation Scholars Program. They shared their personal journeys, insights, and encouragement, inspiring the students and expanding their understanding of potential careers in law, leadership, and public service.
