Director of Recruitment and Retention

The State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida seeks to promote public safety by using data-driven methods to hold offenders accountable, provide restorative justice for victims, and redirect children and people in need of services, in an effort to build stronger, safer communities. We aim to achieve the highest standards of ethics and competence in order to promote a fair and equitable legal system.

We are seeking candidates who will be responsible for the prosecution of all crimes committed in Orange and Osceola Counties. These candidates should act with integrity and balanced judgment to increase public safety, be available to assist community efforts addressing problems that lead to, or result from, criminal activity and should act not merely as a case-processor but also a problem-solver, responsible for considering broad goals of the criminal legal system.

Position:

Director of Recruitment and Retention

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Director of Recruitment and Retention with five or more years of experience in the recruiting field to join our team! You will perform significant recruiting activities to recruit new prosecutors and staff, and also retain existing hires.

Key Responsibilities:

Diversion Attorney Tasks:

  • Screen, recruit, and interview potential Assistant State Attorneys.
  • Attend job fairs hosted by various law schools, both local and nationwide.
  • Assist with onboarding.
  • Implement company culture, values, and policies.
  • Provide management with the requested reports and documents.
  • Accurately maintain employee files.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in human resources, recruiting, or related fields.
  • Dynamic speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to seek out, build, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Must possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, or Human Resources.
  • Master’s degree, PHR or SPHR a plus.
